Standard Tape Hooks
These are the most popular curtain hooks and are those generally used on buy off the shelf curtains. They are available in PVC, Nylon, Brass, Brass Plated and Zinc plated and most manufacturers of curtain hooks make their own versions of standard tape hooks.

Adjustable Curtain Hooks
There are three distinct types of Adjustable curtain hook, the sew in hook which is used for pleating curtains, the standard adjustable for curtains with heading tape and the adjustable with a locking hook. All three version come in various sizes.

Pleat Curtain Hooks
Pleat hooks are generally used on curtains with heading tape and the hooks will have several prongs which are inserted into the heading tape to make up the pleat. See also the Adjustable Sew in curtain hooks above.

Pin Hooks
These are used on curtains with no heading tape. The hooks as the name suggests have a pin and are simply pinned into the top of the curtains which would have a stiffened buckram heading sewn in to support the hook. You will also find these curtains generally have the pleats sew in.
